"Mrs. Krabappel and Principal Skinner were in the closet making babies and I saw one of the babies and then the baby looked at me."

Suddenly the day turns into night

Well, I’m in Peterpatch for Turkey Weekend, having driven down early yesterday morning. Everyone’s still asleep right now, so I thought I’d get caught up on posting some pictures I meant to put up earlier this week. I went for a visit with The Grabber and Righteous Guy a few days ago, and brought my camera along…The Grabber managed to steal it away and took a bazillion pictures. I’ve made the best of them available here.

I had taken Friday off to work on the deck, but the weather stymied me yet again…instead, I got a bit of work done on the yard, in between the showers. Saturday turned out to be a much nicer day, so I managed to get a little further on the deck. Only 65 joists to go! :-|

  1. Okay, I have the CUTEST daughter!

I think Kaveman agrees entirely too… he “kidnaps” her every time he comes over! (Not that Righteous Guy and I mind: she seems to love his visits!)

Sigh – isn’t she just too gorgeous (which is pretty much what every parent thinks of their baby. Though as an MD, I can indeed attest there are some pretty ugly babies out there too… Kaveman’s mom, another pediatrician, agrees! Thank goodness I’ve had nothing but “Wow, you have a beautiful daughter” comments so far – no “what a great outfit” phrases (I use that one for the more homely babies at work…)). Love those big, wide-open “I’m ready for anything” eyes! So far, she’s proven to be more alert than I had anticipated… (so much for those “most babies at this stage sleep about 16 hours a day or more” phrases in the parenting books)

Okay, enough gushing! Kaveman, she’s ready for another visit soon!

  2. By the way, Birdlady, why don’t you post some photos of your neice? Little Miss Iggy Pop is GORGEOUS (she’s got beautiful eyes, and an amazing head of black locks), and guaranteed to be a heartbreaker when she’s older! (Plus, she truly does also have the best outfit I’ve ever seen for an infant!)

  3. I plan to show off pictures of my gorgeous niece, I’m just a bit lower-tech then all you guys and have to wait for that pesky low-tech processing!

p.s. Grabber, I’m glad the “nice outfit” came AFTER the “she’s gorgeous” ;) .
