I’ve done it again…

So, I’m in the paper, check it out!

  1. Way to go, Limbo! I had no idea your love had the power to revolutionize anything… :-)

You’d think that after the whole Walkerton thing, the municipalities would have already been taking extra care with the drinking water, but this just shows how vigilant we always have to be.

  2. Good job, Limbo! Out of curiosity, why did you test your water supply initially? Righteous Guy and I had ours tested (at our previous home) because we got a call from the City of Ottawa saying their routine testing of our street (apparently they randomly test the water in homes here) had levels slightly above the acceptable limit. We were lucky: levels well within normal limits at our home. We’ve been lucky again with the new home, since our water intake pipe seems to be copper (very rare for a home of this vintage!).

Go mom power, go! :D Ev and I laughed when we saw the “lead in the water supply” pamphlets at our doorstep, and thought of you!

  3. You’d think, wouldn’t you :) Funny, that’s what I said when A-Channel new interviewed me! ha ha

You’d also think that the Minister of the Environment’s office staff would have been a little more careful about answering an email forwarded from an MPP’s constituency office from a doctoral student at UWO. (their response was, ‘this is a municiple issue and we’re going to let the City of London handle it.’) Notice how high they jumped when the PAPER reported the same thing. Also notice the restraint I’ve exercised in regards to letting the press know about this juicy little tidbit. (You bet your *!? that if it were a PC provincial gov’t I’d be all over it!)
