Just a man in a silly red sheet…

So it seems that Bryan Singer’s fascination with Superman has given the folks at Fox the jitters. Personally, I couldn’t be happier that Singer will be working on the new Superman movie, as he is a great director, with tons of respect for source material. The only sad part of this is that he won’t be handling the introduction of Phoenix in X-Men 3.

Hmmm, but maybe Superman can fight Kaizer Soze? :-)

I’m really excited about comic-book movies shining their sweet light on DC again, with the upcoming Batman Begins (to be released June 17, 2005), and now this news about Singer doing Superman. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve very much enjoyed the recent flood of comic-book movies, but it just seems to me that the Marvel properties have been getting much better treatment than the DC ones (anyone remember Batman & Robin…yikes).

Now all we need is a JLA movie, and I’ll be in heaven…

  1. What about catwoman? that was a quality comic book adaptation, right?

  2. Haven’t seen it yet, but anything with Halle Berry in skimpy leather can’t be all bad…

  3. It can when the only thing they kept from the comic book is the name of the title…
